Item returned for a refund, but eBay tracking says it hasn't been posted yet

I returned two lipsticks to the seller as I believe them to be fake. I wrote a long email and attached photographs to support my claim. The seller sent me a return label and I duly returned the two lipsticks using this. I have checked the tracking on the Evrie web site and it shows that the items were actually delivered on 25th of July and there is a photograph showing proof of this delivery. However, Ebay is showing that the item has not even been posted yet and they keep emailing  me saying that I have to return it by 5th of August. I have tried everything I can to let Ebay know this has been delivered, but the case will not be escalated until it shows on Ebay's own site that it has actually been sent and delivered. What can I do please?

It sounds like the return label you used wasn't the one supplied by ebay.    If necessary you can use that label to send something like an invoice or message to the seller to activate the refund.    Or you can contact ebay about it using callback on here:

Wow that is really interesting because when I went onto the Evrie tracking to see proof of the delivery, there were lots of pictures showing exactly the same label as mine but with dates going as far back to February 2025. So, I clearly have a dodgy seller here.  I have messaged the seller asking for my refund but don't understand what you mean when you say I can use that label to send something like an invoice or message to the seller to activate the refund. How do I do this please? Thank you soooo much for your help- this is driving me nuts.
