Item posted to wrong address and subsequently stolen

I sold an item and posted via royal mail.

Unfortunately by mistake I used a previous QR code and the parcel went to the address I'd sold an item to the previous week.

I only found out when I tracked the delivery and saw the photo of the parcel left in a safe place behind a wheelie bin at the wrong address.

I contacted both parties, the buyer hasn't replied and the wrong recipient says that the parcel was not being his wheelie bin and must have been stolen..

Where do I go from here

The buyer should open a "not received" case to get a full refund.
