Item not displaying/searchable

I have two accounts. I listed a BIN item on Friday, it didn't show on searches, or by searching on 'Sellers other items'.  After 24 hours I ended it and relisted it again on my second account. Same again... after 24 hours it shows as 'live', but doesn't show up on searches... it's nothing unusual or illegal, just a c1910 piece of pottery.

Every time you end and relist it, or revise it,   it goes to the back of the queue to be checked and indexed.

If you see it in active listing,  then all is well,  it can take up to 48 hours for some items to be listed when the site is busy,  and it always is on weekends.

Do not revise or relist , if its showing in Active Listing, leave it and it will show up in searches.

But why then, have the half a dozen or so listings before it, and after it, listed and sold ? Is it a random thing ? In which case, how can the same item be randomly checked and indexed on two different, unlinked accounts ?

Who can say whether it would have sold, you never gave it a chance!

Indexing can be slow, it probably depends on several factors, number of items going into the system and even category. 

When you have a selling track record things will move faster, at the moment you do not even have  DSRs showing. They only appear after receiving 10 or more feedback for selling.
