Item issue

I bought an item from a buyer and it was listed as used but they didn’t send ir promptly due to issues and when it arrived it didn’t come with any cables and it’s an expensive and specialist piece of kit that requires certain standards of power and routing cables that aren’t your basic ones. It was not listed as without cables and they flat out ignored any enquiry about changing over the device ownership for warranties or software so until I can get the correct equipment for it i can’t be sure it even works. How do I get an extension on the return period so I can ascertain whether or not it functions correctly as I do not want to return it because it is a bargain if it actually works but the return window is creeping up and I don’t want to be stuck with a paperweight that cost a few hundred. Any help would be great and if anyone has ebay’s email address I’d appreciate it.

You cannot get any extension on eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money back Guarantee policy.

If you wish to return an item for item not as described,  it has to be done within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.

However,  if the cables were not mentioned as included and not shown in the photos, it does look like the item was being sold without this item.  I realise it cannot be tested as working , but warranties usually cannot be transferred from original owner to a new owner.
