Item Damaged in Transit

I sold an item. It was delivered using the Simple Delivery label and the delivery was by Evri. Though well packed, part of the item arrived badly damaged. I understand transit damage is covered but how do I claim?

Suggest you read about this service https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575&st...

Buyer does need to open a case and you refund before claiming. There is also very limited cover, so if an expensive item you could end up out of pocket.

The buyer should open a not as described case with ebay and ebay will cover the cost and issues, and you should be refunded

Thank you. I’ve read that article but can’t see anything (or a link) about how to make a claim for damage in transit.

Re: Item Damaged in Transit

Ebay will look after any damage issues, but you may well be responsible for providing a return label at your cost

Re: Item Damaged in Transit

Thank you. There’ll be no need to return the damaged item to me. So I won’t need to pay for a return label.
