Issued a refund

Hello,

Ive recently listed an item. A buyer made an offer which I accepted and then eBay said they’d made payment.

I made contact to arrange collection, however the buyer had made a mistake and thought i was in Wales and requested a refund.

I approved the refund, however now all of my eBay balance has gone, stating I’ve refunded the full value.

I didn’t ever receive money for this sale and yet the refund value was deducted from my existing funds.

is there anything I can do?

Issued a refund

When you cancel an order before the payment has been processed eBay take the money from your account and the original payment will be released back to you.

Unless the buyer had actually paid, you would not have been able to process the refund.

Ebay refund the buyer from your money/bank account/Ebay balance then, soon after the buyer's payment will be released to you.
