I contacted the seller who requested i returned it with a copy of my original invoice which I did. They received it back on Tuesday 25th and eventually responded to my message saying they have repaired it. However i still havent got it back and am gettimg no response to my messages. Any help would be appreciated please?

I'm afraid ebay do not cover warranties or guarantees on ebay, they only allow a buyer 30 days to raise a case, which is no longer valid for you.
Best speak to your local citizens advice centre, see what they suggest

You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund. You may be in time to try your payment provider for help with a refund.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.

It's too late to do anything via ebay and they don't get involved with warranties. Persevere with the seller. Tell them you will use the small claims court if they do not return it. That's something you should consider doing (now called money claim online):

Hopefully you have receipt for the return postage so you have proof you sent it to them.
