International postage Royal Mail

Hi

I’ve sold a coat to go to USA and label has been done for Royal Mail by simple delivery but it weighs 2.3kg.
Does anyone know if it will be ok as it says 2kg in the label details ?
Has anyone had to pay any additional charges ?
It’s going to a shipping depot in the UK so I’m guessing Royal Mail won’t be involved after that. Does this mean it’s not classed as international with Royal Mail restrictions ?
Hope this makes sense !

Thank you

Sounds as though you are using global shipping, so proof of delivery to global is proof of delivery.

You will need a label that covers your 2.3kg.  I do not think it would be accepted at post office, so best way is to cancel existing label and buy Replacement label.

International postage Royal Mail

Hi
Many thanks yes it is Global shipping. As far as I can see it’s not possible to just cancel the label the order would have to be cancelled, buyer refunded and repurchase which is not great.
I may just risk it as it is and see if they accept it.
Kind regards
Nicholette
