Import Tax

Hi

I'm awaiting some Vinyl from the Netherlands with delivery to Scotland, I paid the tax with E-Bay charge which is fine, But the package has arrived at UK CUSTOMS  and a letter has been still to arrive to say there is more tax to pay

Any ideas on how this can be

You bought a lot of vinyl,individually they were below the threshold for VAT(£135) but if postage was combined the total would be over this and VAT and import duty become due plus carriers clearance fee.
