I selected the wrong shipping method

I selected bulky parcel method of shipping because I wanted my expensive item to be protected and to send it by Royal mail special delivery, now I can't mark the item as despatched even tho its gone, because I have to arrange a DPD collection, how do I get rid of this option?

If you complete a refund form - see the link below - you can add the postage option you used and the tracking number.

To be perfectly honest, you should not be using Simple Delivery.

With large numbers of BNWT bags for sale and sold, you should change your account to a business account.

If you do that, you will be able to choose your own postage options.

You will have to pay listing fees and fees when you sell but your buyers will not have to pay the Buyer Protection Fee.

 

If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling

Here's how to change your account  to be registered correctly with  A business account,  you will keep your nice feedback score :

 

  1. Go to Account settings in My eBay.
  2. Select Personal information
  3. Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
  4. Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
  5. Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
  6. On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this,  and not the app or mobile browser.  Chrome seems to work best on eBay.

Thank you so much for your help, I completed the refund form, but unfortunately I still can't mark 5he item as shipped, even though I sent it yesterday via Royal mail special delivery, do you know if theres any way to change this please?
