I’m the seller, my item was delivered damaged.

I’ve just sold something and packaged it up with plenty of bubble wrap and it has still arrived damaged? I got the postage label sent to me by eBay and the carrier was evri. I’ve tried contacting evri but I don’t have the details they need, the buyer has tried but doesn’t get very far either and eBay just keep saying I have to accept the return. Has anyone else had this and how do I deal with making a claim through evri as im now going to be out of pocket. Thanks

Assuming it was sent using eBay's Simple Delivery (as your other items are) in theory you are covered and ebay should refund the buyer, not you.

eBay say:

You'll be protected if the item is lost or damaged from the point the item is scanned into the carrier's delivery network and until it's marked as delivered.

Contact ebay and ask them how they will be refunding the buyer.   You can use callback on here:

Please let us know how you get on.
