I'm done with eBay over this "SIMPLE (?)" delivery.

Sold an item but forced to use "simple" delivery. I wanted to deliver personally as buyer was local but charged £4+ for label BEFORE any postage was added. I had no access to buyers address so I couldn't even take it to him and forfeit the label charge. I do not have a smart phone nor do I have a printer so I cannot use this feature even if I wanted to. After faffing around for almost SIX HOURS going round in circles I decided to cancel the sale and take the hit. Buyer only got £135 back after paying over £141 and there is no way I can reimburse him because I don't have his address. I WILL NOT be selling on eBay again until this absolute debacle is removed. I'll be selling on Vinted or Facebook Marketplace from now on. Goodbye eBay and GOOD RIDDANCE.

Depending on how you cancelled and the reason chosen the buyer should have received a full refund of the amount you received and the buyer fee+postage from eBay

You could have cancelled the original listing with postage and relisted as a collection item, that way you would have the code to prove collection/self delivery

That is too much hassle.

I would rather give stuff away for free to charity shops than use eBay now.

I'll be using other selling sites where there are non dictatoral rules applied.
