I’m being charged for an unsold listing

I put up a listing for a PC build and included a link to PCPartPicker as it included the full specs of the PC I was selling and to those interested in buying, contains more information than could be provided on eBay. Stupidly, I forgot external links were against listing policy and so it was removed HOWEVER I put in a request to revise the listing and I gave my explanation and I am still unable to remove the link or relist the item.

The listing fee was £51 GBP and I got a notification saying it’ll be charged to my bank account in 3 days. I still can’t edit the item, it hasn’t been sold, so WHY ON EARTH am I being charged????

Not sure what has happened here,  but access to your account is needed so for this you need to contact eBay Customer Services for them to explain the fee.

I recommend contacting them today or on a weekday at 8 a.m. when the lines open for ' live agents',  as there's more chance of Dublin answering .

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Generally speaking listing fees are not refunded.  You could try asking ebay for a courtesy refund.

That's a high fee for a private seller,did you use a reserve and/or promotion?

One a listing has been removed for policy violation you have to start a new listing it cannot be revised
