I bought a Quest Controller - but it didn't work (probably due to delivery).
I tried pairing it to a Android, then a iPad, but no - nothing.
After that I requested a return as the item was defective.
The seller chose to ask eBay.
eBay sided with me.
I have now got a free product that i could sell for parts only.
What should I do?

Its up to you really but you could give them a couple of weeks.
If they ask for it back then they need to send a pre paid label but it would be your choice as the whether to return it or not.
Once ebay has refunded then there is nothing the seller can do they should have dealt with the problem properly by sending a return label instead of letting ebay deal with it.

Entirely up to you if the seller hasn't asked for it to be returned.

How long should I wait for the seller?

Personally, I would contact the seller once and ask them if they want the item back.
Offer to return it if they pay postage and give them a few days to respond.
So, 'If I have not heard from you by ..., I will feel free to dispose of the item.'
They may not understand the process. As far as Ebay is concerned, you don't have to send the item back but the seller may have a different view. I would at least make the offer in order to avoid any potential unpleasantness.

If the item is defective then it could well of been sent defective, so the seller isn't likely to want to pay to have it back just to bin it.
If you do list it make sure you use bold print stating PARTS or REPAIR or you could ed up in the same situation as the seller you bough from!

Just a thought, I suggest you add the seller to your blocked bidders list, in case he bought it back from you and then opened a not as described case, to get back at you, and if nothing else to leave feedback.
By not dealing with the return case and involving ebay he will not have had the selling fee refunded, so it will have been an expensive lesson, and also the risk of negative feedback from you. Returns are always expensive for sellers, but involving ebay, when there is virtually no chance of winning, makes the whole sale more expensive than it need be.
