Sellers are allowed to choose not to be contacted so it might not be you.

I have never contacted a seller before a purchase.

You may have reached the limit for messages today, new members have a limit of the number of messages you can send a day.

You don't usually need to contact a seller before a sale unless this is a purchase of a Classified ad?

Which device are you using if the app or mobile browser switch if you can to a laptop / PC and use Chrome.

It's not too obvious how to write that message.  When you click on Contact seller a big white empty ' page' appears on the right.  You do not write there.

Underneath slightly greyed out is ' Send message'  Click on that,  and that is where you write your message.  when finished click on the right blue arrow to send.

You should not buy these potentially dangerous items on ebay.  You may have had a lucky escape.

Only business sellers are allowed to sell ebike replacement batteries on eBay and all information should be on their listings as well as contact information,many business sellers do not allow questions being asked as they say they are too busy.

If you were to purchase these on eBay I would only buy from an established UK seller

I am on my laptop, I have no mobile.
The grey part does not work.
I have finally managed to speak to a human. He says this is a known issue
for some people and will refer it to their IT dept.

thanks, so anything from China is out, even though the batteries themselves
are Chinese.

In the days when contact seller DID work, I submitted offers for batteries.
When I did this, the price which came up was a lot more than what I had
written. Are the Chinese putting prices on show which do not include VAT,
and when I click the buy button, adding it?

Many batteries from Chinese sellers wont be to UK standards and any guarantee difficult to enforce.

Companies may have batteries manufactured in China but their quality control and safety standards would be much higher than generic batteries

from China, despite it being made in China?
