Hello all,
I used the new "improved" listing tool for the first time this week.
Up till now, for small parcels, I've always been able to provide the option for two delivery services, Evri - which is cheaper - or Royal Mail 2nd class - which seems to be more reliable and faster. I can't work out how to do that any more. For the listing I made, I had to put a note in that the buyer request an invoice if they wanted the Evri option, which seems like a *bleep* way of doing things.
One of the "help" articles suggests building the postage price into the item price, but you'd still then have to ask the buyer which service they'd prefer for delivery. Plus, when you're selling small items for 99p, the postage cost makes a big difference.
I should point out that with the two services mention, buyers will often select Royal Mail, even though it's about 70p more.
Anyone got any ideas? Or who I can complain to if not? 😆
Thanks!
John

I am afraid I always avoid getting involved in ebays "improvements". I prefer being in control, if I make a mistake it is my fault. If ebay gets it wrong sellers just lose out and ebay does not care.
If I am opted into something then I opt out. Too many questions on here relate to members following ebay suggestions, and ending up trying to resolve problems caused.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't see how I have any other option than to use the new listing tool.
Whe you mention "being in control", does that mean that there's another way to create a listing, without using the "improvement"? I don't see how one can avoid being "involved" with it - would love to know otherwise! 🙂
thanks, John

Here's an example of an old listing, showing two options for the buyer. Note that if I try and relist this item, it removes the Royal Mail option. That's really pants 🙄
