What have you bought?

Is it a UK seller?

Have you paid?

Re: Help with seller

Direct your seller to come to us here.

End of the day, if they does not send your item,  and you have paid, one day after your item's last estimated date for delivery,  proceed with a case for a refund.

Go right of the item purchased,  and from More Actions select....  I Have Not Received My Item.

If you are not fully refunded within 3 days,  you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case,  and eBay will step in and force the refund.

Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give,  and do not forget to escalate.

Try and convince your seller to come here,  we try and help with  any issue they may be experiencing.

Re: Help with seller

But he has accepted the refund it’s just that I can’t send the item back because I didn’t have it in the first place

Re: Help with seller

Sounds as if you have opened a return.

As you realise, you can't return an item you don't have!

Copy and paste the instructions below to your seller.

Tell them to choose the reason 'buyer asked to cancel'.

Issuing a refund

You can issue full or partial refunds for items in Seller Hub or My eBay up to 90 days after the original transaction. Here's how:

  1. Find the order in Seller Hub - opens in new window or tab or My eBay Orders - opens in new window or tab.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select Send refund.
  3. Choose a reason for the refund.
  4. Specify a refund amount for the item or for the order.
  5. Enter the refund amount, and select Send refund.

Re: Help with seller

You need to close your redundant case and then the seller can refund, but you will have to hope they do that as ebay won't assist now.

It seems neither of you knew how to do it properly!
