Hand delivered an item that was initially for prepaid post

I hand delivered an item that was initially for prepaid post after agreeing with the buyer (they live 20 mins away) but now I can’t mark as dispatched or anything and they can’t mark as received. What do I do now as it’s still telling me to post!

Contact ebay and ask them to do it.   You can use callback on here:

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately when they called back they said there
is nothing they can do I have to cancel the order…for the item I don’t have
anymore. Which makes no sense. Then something about having to just wait for
15 days after the dispatch date to get the money. She was very rude. I
basically still don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing. The buyer has the
item and is happy. That should be all that matters.

Many members don't realise that Ebay's systems and processes are very rigid and can't be altered at whim.

This includes never posting something listed for collection and vice versa because you simply do not get the delivery or collection confirmation ebay requires.

You will have to wait 14 days for the payment to be released.

There isn't anything that either you or the buyer can do, eBay are obviously waiting for the order to show a tracking number with a delivered status because this is how your listing was set up, with a postage price and method.

You'll need to wait the 14 days. Your buyer leaving feedback will help, and will provide indication that they have their item. If the item is under £25 this may release the payment sooner.
