Global Shipping - Tracking states "Misroute"

I have had a buyer open an item not received case.  The item was sent through the global shipping programme and the tracking is showing "misroute"

Can anyone tell me what this means?

I have asked the buyer to give it a couple of days to see if it turns up which he is ok with at the moment.

Is it likely to turn up or does this usually mean its been lost?

As item was sent through GSP, as long as it shows delivered to UK GSP centre, you are covered.  

Reply to case with tracking number and state it was delivered, ebay should then sort without affecting you.
