I can't quite get to the bottom of this, but I am being contacted by US customers on a daily basis now about GSP shipping prices, I just sold an item for £95 (way under 1KG and way smaller than 64 x 46 x 46) and the buyer was charged £59.80 for shipping. Has something changed?
I could ship everything directly to my US customers for £20ish a parcel, but I like the GSP for the added protection and the fact that I won't have to register for sales tax in however many different states in the future.
The parcels I send are nearly all 18x18x18cm boxes which weigh under 1KG, they have a volumetric weight of about 1.2kg, the only parcel dimensions I can select for my listings is under 1KG but 64 x 46 x 46, but a package that size wold have a volumetric weight of 27kg, are my customers being quoted for a 27kg parcel?
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? would anyone happen to know if something has changed or if ebay are aware of the problem?
