Getting the refund run around from eBay -advice sought and welcome

I was wondering how many other people are having this problem.

eBay cancelled a sale last weekend. They had previously said they had a systems issue and required me to confirm the delivery details of the buyer.

I did this. Despatched the goods. All well. Buyer has received them. That's all confrmed. Happy buyer.

Then on Saturday nigt eBay cancelled the sale. Refunded him on Sunday. and took the money from my bank account at about hald midnight. 

I feel I have done my bit and eBay has said I will get a refund. It hasnt arrived yet! They say I might get paid next week. 

Anyone else experienced similar?

Did they offer any explanation of why they cancelled the sale?

If buyer has been refunded, I doubt that you will get anything from ebay, as they cannot take back from buyer.

Have you contacted buyer, as if you are to be paid, I suspect it will be up to you and buyer to sort out. There is no way through ebay for buyer to pay again, and it would need to be made, using Paypal, Bank Transfer or Cheque.

I may be wrong about ebay refunding you, but CS are well known for telling you what you want to hear but nothing happens.
