Getting paid by ebay

If ebay pays a refund into an incorrect and closed account.....how are those funds redirected to the active account? Does the bank send them back to ebay or what? I can't seem to get any answers from ebay.

The bank should bounce them back to ebay if the account closed.  Presumably they then reappear in your ebay balance.
