I have bought a bag that would qualify for authentication but didn’t have it as part of the original listing. Seller is fine to send it there but can’t see how to do it - only option is to send direct to me. I’m happy to arrange or even receive the item and sending myself. How do I go about this?

If authentication wasn't shown on the listing it is not available, there is no way to add it after a sale or arrange to send it yourself you can take it to a dealer local to you who may authenticate it for you if you have your doubts.

What is the item number?
If thebag meets all of the conditions (see below) and was listed in the right category, the authenticity guarantee should have been added. Price and brand are the key things.
If it does meet all the conditions, you could ask the seller to cancel your purchase and relist the item. They could contact Ebay to ask for the A.G. to be added and you could buy it again.
Only selected listings on eBay.co.uk are eligible for the Service. eBay may amend the eligibility requirements for Eligible Items, including, but not limited to category, and/or value of items and/or transactions.
Although only selected items are eligible at the current time, the Authenticity Guarantee will be rapidly expanding. Check listings for the “Authenticity Guarantee” blue tick badge to see if items are included at this time.
Eligible Items must satisfy the following conditions:
