Fraudulent seller

Message to Ebay: Can you please investigate this fraudulent activity.

 

I ordered a Wind Turbine on 03 Nov 2025. On 13 Nov 2025 I received a message from Ebay to say that the Wind Turbine had been delivered. What I received was not a Wind Turbine but a mobile phone cover. (Please see attached)

 

I reported 'Item not received' and the seller said that I have taken this action before it was shipped as it was being sent by sea because it was oversized and overweight.

 

On 12 Dec 2025 I asked the seller for an update as it was now five weeks since ordering. They said the ship was delayed due to bad weather and would arrive in UK at the end of December.

 

On 05 Jan 2026 I wrote again to the seller asking for a refund as I had now waited nine weeks for the delivery. The seller replied that they would send a refund. At this point I have no Wind Turbine, no refund and no further communication from the seller.

 

Ebay’s response: ‘Report submission failed’, an absolutely appalling response to a matter that requires urgent and severe action.

you should have opened a not as described case.

 

Try your payment provider for a refund as you are well out of time for eBay.

Good Morning pipmr,

Than you for your advice and you were right, I opened the wrong case. However, I just received an email from the seller through ebay to say that Yodel had now received the parcel. Almost 10 weeks since ordering. Now living in hope that Yodel or Evri actually deliver it.
