If you are the seller then you need to make sure they tracking number is entered into any case the buyer might open.

Look up seller protection when a buyer uses the money back guarantee.

If you show tracking of the item as delivered in your sold/order section of ebay as delivered, then it's down to a buyer to look at there payment provider if the item has gone missing,as items can get stolen and even taken back by courier/delivery persons once they scan items!

As a seller on ebay you only have to show items as either delivered or attempted delivery to win a case if one is opened.

I take it that really it is the buyer that is having problems and that you are the seller.

If so they must open a "non delivery" case with eBay.  Provided that you have entered the tracking and it shows delivery [or attempted delivery] eBay should close the case.

There is no earthly reason to consider this as "fraud".  The courier may have mis-delivered this or delivered it and had it stolen from the doorstep.

If the buyer's eBay case gets closed they can also apply to their payment provider.  They will [probably] also close the case on seeing "proof of delivery" although if they allow the case they add a surcharge of about £18 if I recall.       @danytherm
