First bidder.

I'm the first bidder. The price, strangely was 488.52 I then noticed when I logged in later that the price was now 491....but it shows I'm the only bidder, on closer look it says the starting price wad 475....?how can the price go up like that... It shows only my bid.. Thanks for any insights

It's probably ebay's new buyer protection fee which  they are adding onto item price.    Have a look at this:

It's a very recent change,    being rolled out gradually to all categories, and started with electronics on the 4th of February.
