Hi, I bought one of these Jugs on 14th September 2024 because the one I had had started leaking - always for tea. Before buying this one I had always purchased the plastic ones with the vacuum style inside like a flask. However, decided to try stainless steel and seeing the make of Haus Roland (German Design) I thought this would be good. BUT over the last few weeks there is something wrong with it. When pouring out it was JET BLACK and at first we thought it was the teabags (Tetley which we have used for many years). The tea tasted odd and we actually complained to Tetley who had not had any similar complaints. We then bought Asda's own teabags and the same thing happened, so it appears to be the inside of this jug that is the cause as this was also black. Both types of teabags are the correct colour in my spare Jug that I keep in case of any breakages. These jugs must be coated with something inside because the inside is BLACK. I have pictures of what it looks like into the sink, and onto kitchen paper - the right side being from this particular Jug and the left side from my spare plastic vacuum Jug. There is an obvious difference in the colour of the tea from the stainless steel Jug and my spare. I am very very concerned that the coating is poisonous and what we have been drinking, plus curious to know what is happening inside the Jug! I am well aware that you only sell these and presume there is a Warranty of at least a year on it? Perhaps, I could return it so you can investigate this with your supplier. Look forward to hearing from you in due course. I will send another message with the Item No and details of when purchased etc in a new message. Pictures attached. Regards Aileen

This is an ebay member board. If you want to contact the seller do that from your purchase history page. Find the item by changing the "See Orders" year, top right of list. Then click on the dropdown "More Actions" arrow for the item and use the contact seller link.
It's too late to do anything about this on ebay. They only allow 30 days for claims and don't get involved with warranties. If the seller won't help try contacting your payment provider.

Hi, thank you. I do understand that e-bay can't help now, but I will contact Paypal as that is how I paid. May be a waste of time now, but worth a try. Plus, the jug was not megabucks, but I am concerned the lining may be poisonous and would not be surprised as it was probably made in China where they don't have safe regulations on these makes. All the best
