Fake account?

I opened Ebay on my laptop and my name appeared with an account name that is not mine.  It is a "fresh"  account with no activity on it but it has a an account name that I have not set up.  Can I close this 'fake account' or will it also close down my genuine account (that has been open since 2002)?

You may have opened this account in error while logging in via Facebook or Google.

Log out of this one,  log into your original account with your password.
