Evri have lost a Parcel I have Sent to a buyer

I recently posted an item to a buyer using a simple delivery Evri label. Evri appear to have lost the item and are not responding to my requests for information on where it is (depsite promising to get back within 24 hrs I've been onto to them 4 days in a row). How do I go about getting ebay to recognise that the item has been lost, getting the buyre a refund and hopefully getting my compensation. Rgds

With Simple Delivery in case of loss or damage in transit eBay refund the buyer and you keep the payment for the transaction.   So ask the buyer to open a "not received" case on ebay.

If you used Simple Delivery for this transaction,  then eBay handle and pay that refund for the lost item.

Ask your buyer to open a case for item not received.  There should be somewhere to note on the case , that Simple Delivery was used.  Sorry not to be more precise as I have not yet needed to do this.  Perhaps someone who has , can come along and confirm the process.. 🤗.

eBay refund the buyer,  you get to keep the payout.

Hi - thanks for replying to my question. How does the payment get released to me. At the moment it's on hold until two days after delivery. I can see lots of comments on the community website that payments aren't released. It seems to me that ebay is getting more and more difficult to use and not really worth the bother when this sort of things happen. There doesn't appear to be any human customer service to sort these things out. Rgds
