First it was all go on ebay. When I joined years ago it was really easy. You posted your item online. Then if someone bought it they payed into paypal, you packed it and sent it off. All done in a day or two. Any problems, first port of call was an email to seller or buyer. Then if nothing was done e bay got involved and sorted it or if not paypal did.
Since then we have had many upgrades that to be honesy have made it worse to sell here. Fees, then no fees, ebay protection, now buyer protection. Last year the sellers tax. Now its 30 items reguardless of cost of each item and it seems between £1,000 and £1,700 , depends who you speak to.
Now we have simple postage. I sold a kit and was sent a label to post it but who got any extra that was left over? I never put the exact cost on the postage , its cost plus wrapping paper sellotape etc, but I usually get it right. Now it seems that the cost of using this servive is supposed to be cheaper, but I didnt get any refund. It all depends on what boxes I can get to post the items in. So how can I say the postage is such & such. They say ebay uses the weight from other sellers . Well I once got a very large kit of an aeroplane with a bin liner wrapped around it , not in it just wrapped around it. Now the cost of that as opposed to a box & properly packaged?
Yes, it is long and rambling but it shows how things have evolved. Will I still use ebay? I dont know. Why did I start to use ebay , because it was simple and easy to use , now, not so much

The only workaround here would be to register as a business seller.
They don't have to use Simple Delivery and the Buyer Fee isn't added to their listing prices.

Someone has a post to say simple post is coming to business sellers too, so no escape from it
