I sold an item which was collected and paid for on 25/5. the buyer has given me a 5 star rating for the item but ebay is refusing to release my payment for 2 weeks with no explanation. I have complained, spoken to several CS staff who say they will help but never get back to me. The only vague reason they come up with is maybe the item is different from my normal items. Well, I'm new to ebay and this is my 2nd item so that is nonsense. Anyone know the best way to complain in order to get compensation?
Put label as technical as forcing me to put something but doesn't have held payments as option.

You cannot complain, and it's normal for eBay to hold payouts from new sellers, for longer.
When tracking shows delivery payouts are released 2 days after that delivery date. Feedback doesn't help unless it's for an item of £25 in value, or less.
With no tracking payouts are held for 14 days.
As said, for all new sellers payouts are usually held for longer, and once established as a good eBayer, posting out items promptly, then the above timelines apply.

Did the buyer supply the collection code when they picked the item up? Have you added it to the transaction?
Not all sellers know that this is necessary in order for your payment to be released.
Otherwise, as advised,it is because you are an infrequent seller and you should be paid 14 days after the transaction so on day 15.

Hi - it transpires that they had responded to my complaint but didn't tell me that they had done so. They have released the funds. It is a bit odd as the first item I sold a couple of months ago went smoothly and I got the funds very quickly.

Hi - it transpires that they had responded to my complaint but didn't tell me that they had done so. They have released the funds. I did enter the code and the system appeared to accept it. I later followed up with the buyer and he thought maybe he had given me the wrong code. all sorted now, thanks

New sellers do have a hold on money for I think up to 21 days. This is not the same holding time once you are an established seller.
