In January this year I made my first sale (and now only sale as I have removed everything else from my seller page off the back of this issue). Everything was fine with shipping, receiving and the funds were in my ebay balance.
I withdrew the funds on January 17th and since then, no money was ever received into my bank account.
Ebay requested I raise this issue with my bank, which I did, but the bank were unable to locate any payment from ebay. The proof of payment ebay provided was not sufficient to enable them to locate any funds.
Ebay then requested my bank (Chase UK) provided them with a signed letter from the bank manager explaining that the money was not in my account. Chase UK have reverted that this is not something they can or are ever able to provide and that I would need to provide ebay with bank statements instead, which was agreed with by ebay and I uploaded. These bank statements of course proved that the funds were not received.
Since then, ebay have done nothing to resolve this missing payment. When I contact them, we go round the same circles of them saying they sent the money and me having to tell them it was not received, followed by them asking my bank to locate the funds with the same proof they provided back in January.
At this point the issue has been going on for three months and I have asked ebay to escalate this into a formal complaint with no luck. At this point, this is a theft and I am increasingly frustrated that ebay has done nothing to rectify the situation.
Has anyone had any similar experiences? I think at this point the matter will become a legal one.
NB. The sale and missing funds was not a small amount, hence I am desperate to get this resolved.
