Today I tried to buy a circular saw blade, and PayPal asked me to prove that I'm 18 or older, i could not do it because it required credit card (debit card didn't work)

  1. I did KYC a couple of days ago to receive money from selling items.
  2. I've been a member since 2003,  witch makes me at least 22yo no?

Like, really guys? So I just went and bought it on Amazon instead.

Do better.

You're not talking to eBay here but to other members like yourself,  but it doesn't take away that many face the same issue when buying and selling any bladed item.

Proof that you are over 18 is required,  and the only proof eBay accept is a credit card, because those credit card companies have already done their stringent tests on peeps applying for those cards.

Yes,  you can be a member of 20 years plus , but this doesn't prevent someone in your household  using your account who is under 18,  hence a credit card will be asked for at point of sale,  or point of purchase.

Do you mean Amazon broke the law with no confirmation of age?

Debit Card can be issued to Children so does not prove over 18.
