Displaying Duties & Tariffs at Checkout for US Sellers (UK based shop)

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if eBay actually plans to calculate and display U.S. duties and tariffs at checkout for buyers?

At the moment, as UK sellers, we have no control over this. If tariffs aren’t clearly shown and collected during checkout, the shipment ends up being rejected at the border or the carrier refuses to handle it. In practice, this has basically killed all sales from the UK to the U.S.

I just don’t understand why eBay hasn’t addressed this properly. Other platforms and carriers are already handling duties at the point of sale. Without that, international shipping becomes a nightmare, and it’s impossible to provide a reliable service to our customers.

Is anyone here aware of upcoming changes or updates from eBay on this? Or has anyone found a practical workaround while we wait for eBay to implement a proper solution?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.
