Delaying payment

Hullo helpful people.  I have had a buy it now item purchased.   I’m away from home and won’t be able to post it immediately (it’s been listed for months).  The buyer is happy to wait but I am worried that the label may not work or there is some other negative effect from not sending for a while.  Another post suggests cancelling and relisting

with the buyers consent.  Is that the best way forward do you think?

I agree with whoever advised cancel and relist.

If you are not around to post items, it's a good idea to cancel listings or, at the very least, put your sales on 'time away' to avoid further issues.
