DESPATCH TIMES

Does anyone else find sellers' despatch times confusing? I am not talking about personal sellers, some of whom may have day-jobs and cannot arrange a day time despatch schedule. I am referring to business sellers who are there all day and presumably have a routine of carriers arriving or seller taking the items to the carrier.  All too often I have considered a purchase or, worse still, bought an item, only to realise that, to cite my latest example, "Our latest time for Royal Mail collection is 12:30"!

That means if I buy after 12:30 the delivery date is a day later than expected wether it is 1st Class or 2nd Class.

Shouldn't EBay have a standard for business sellers making it clearer, some do, when the latest despatch time is depending on the service you pay for?

All listings have estimated delivery dates.

This is determined by seller stating how quick after payment is made that they post item.
