Customer collection

I recently sold an item and the customer then messaged me asking if he could collect instead as he lived local. But I can't find how to change the order from postage and he suggested that when he collects and leaves me feedback it would automatically complete the order as a collection instead. Is this the case?

Re: Customer collection

No.   It's safer for you to cancel/refund the transaction with buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu for the item on your orders page) and relist as collection only for the buyer to buy again.    Then the buyer will receive a collection code to give to you when they come which will prove you've handed over the item.

See "Proof of collection" on here:

The alternative would be to open the postage label which will mark the item as dispatched.   But that will not prove the buyer has received the item and in theory they could claim the money back later from ebay.
