Confused about whether I need to return an item ...

The item I bought arrived damaged by the courier. eBay later stepped in and I had my refund yesterday 

I'm confused now because eBay have today sent me an email saying to print the returns label and return by 1st April.  

When I click the print returns label it takes me to a page saying I've been refunded and the case is closed 

Although damaged the item still holds some value and I don't want to do the wrong thing 

Any advice appreciated - it's been impossible for me to access live support or get a call

I would contact the seller once only (rather than Ebay who will tell you that you don't need to return the item) and ask them if they would like the item returned.

Give them a date to respond by and state that you will need a label or payment for postage and, if they don't respond within 7 days, you will feel free to dispose of the item.
