Collection order, paid but buyer ghosts me

Pretty simple scenario...

Sold an item that was collection only.

Buyer paid for the item via ebay straight away.

Buyer does not respond to any messages.

I wants my money. Ebay's holding it. Back in the day, when paypal was the defacto with ebay i would have my money.

Now it seems i need to deal with timewasters. I can't even report them for this, nor can i leave negative feedback...  I sell very infrequently on ebay, but has ebay just become a joke for sellers?

The kids wardrobe?  It did sell nearly a week ago,  so I agree that is long enough to wait for it to be collected.

You don't know the reason that they are not communicating they may have had a medical emergency, send them a polite message that you do need this collecting,  if you do not hear from then in ** days you deem the item to be unwanted, and will cancel the order.

Cancel citing Buyer Requests to Cancel,   the buyer is refunded,  and your seller performance not affected.

Not the wardrobe, no. That sale worked fine. The star wars toy. 

I know I can cancel. I'm stating that I can't seem to either access the money nor leave appropriate feedback. It's a bit frustrating that people can bid and win then just ghost with no recourse.

Negative feedback for buyer would be the best option but ebay seems to have removed this for some reason.

The leaving of negative feedback for buyers stopped many moons ago, and  eBay will never bring that back it became a tit for tat,  helping no one and even some sellers were using it as a ' blackmail' for a buyer to first remove their feedback.

It also wouldn't help me and the majority of sellers who sell Buy it Now items.  There's just no time to read your ' well meaning' feedback , and it still leaves that non payer to come buy my item and not pay.

Far better to use the tools eBay provide.

After 4 days cancel the order citing Buyer has Not Paid,  this gives the buyer a well deserved non payment strike.  If they gain another,  they will not be able to buy from the majority of buyers on eBay fot a full 12 months.

If they keep not paying for purchased items,  gaining those strikes,  eBay will ban them from their site.

This is far more effective than the leaving of any feedback.
