Click & Collect

My listings are now all offering a click and collect service with price, I do not use that option only postage only so how do I get rid of it?

With C&C you post to the C&C address chosen by the buyer.  Apart from needing to make sure the ecp number is on the parcel there is no difference to posting to the buyer's address.

C&C is no different to posting to buyers home.

Ebay supply delivery address, make sure you include ECP code (if using eBay postage it is part of address)

You can opt out of C&C if you want.

Type click and collect into ebay help.

Re: Click & Collect

Thanks for your message.  I hadn't realised that c&c was basically the same as posting to buyer direct, the frustrating part is that when I follow the help page, it does say I'm not enrolled in c&c and my drafts for my listings don't have that as an option so a bit frustrated as to why it's now showing it??

Re: Click & Collect

Sellers are automatically opted in to C&C unless seller opts out. You may not have noticed before but items have to meet certain requirements, for example price.

We'll automatically offer Click & Collect on your listings if:

  • The cost of your item is at least £5
  • You're offering a quick dispatch time (0-3 days is ideal)
  • Your item weighs no more than 15kg (including packaging) and no one side of the parcel exceeds 90cm, with max dimensions of 0.324 cubic metres. (Any items that are too large or exceed the weight limit will be rejected on arrival at the Click & Collect location and may be disposed of, without reimbursement)
  • Your item isn't classified as dangerous or age-restricted

I must have opted out years ago. It may be a good idea, but can cause problems, if buyer does not collect for example, or as recently seen the chosen C&C store has withdrawn from the scheme so parcel was refused, leaving buyer rather annoyed.

Re: Click & Collect

Thanks John for the info but I have definitely never opted in and in my postage preferences it says the same thing so how can I opt out if I've never been in???  I listed a new item today and my listing draft says 'postage only' but it's showing click & collect as another option

Re: Click & Collect

Thank you John so much for that, I have just listed a 2nd item and definitely didn't offer C&C but it does show it on the item description page, hopefully this is just a blip at my end and it will magically go away as quickly as it arrived!!!  Thank you for helping, much appreciated x
