Car Selling and then not being picked up

I've tried to sell my car six times on e-bay.  Each time someone wins it, they either don't exist or can't be bothered to pick it up/pay.

I tried to leave negative feedback, but the only options were to give positive feedback, so I tried to write something negative and edit it.  But once you press send, it's un-editible.

I've had to pay e-bay for the listing and still have my unsold car sitting on my drive, 3 months later.

This seems to be the only place I can air my view as the chat bot is not helpful and there is no email.....

It's against eBay's rules for sellers to leave negatives for buyers.  It would not help future sellers selling Buy it Now items as there would be no time to read those ' warning' feedbacks.  The listing fees for vehicles are non refundable,  payable sale or no sale,  same if you listed your car in your local paper and it didn't sell the paper would not refund you,  your advertising fee.

Always block non payers and troublemakers from returning , add their ID's here:

If you do list your vehicle again most would agree the best way is to list it in a Classified ad format .

Car Selling and then not being picked up

Hi Tressygirl,

Thanks for your swift response.

Regarding the fee, yes that makes perfect sense and I'll take that on the chin.

The blocking of ID's seems to only work for my own profile, so doesn't highlight to others and I suspect I won't use ebay again to sell a car, or anything else at this rate, as it's not been terribly successful.

In the meantime, I do need to shift this car despite the six auctions and the strange people winning the auction and not buying it (no idea why anyone would chose to do this).  So I'll investigate the classified ad.

Thanks again

R

Is Ebay the best place to sell your car?

You have had interest but no genuine buyers.

In your position, as you clearly want to get rid of your car, why don't you look into other ways of selling it?  You know how much you want for it so advertise locally at a sensible price and you will probably sell it quickly.
