Car Head light scratch remover

Hi, I’ve purchased a small spray container to remove car headlight scratches. It hasn’t come with any instructions. I wondered if emery cloth or fine sandpaper has to be applied on the headlight glass first ?

Any help would be appreciated

You need to ask the seller. 

I don't recommend using an abrasive until you are sure or you could make it worse.
