Cannot contact anyone REAL at eBay

I am trying to add photos to a listing with 4 days to run and one active bid.

The eBay rules state that I CAN ADD photos but when I try I am blocked.

I have tried contacting eBay but all the automated routes lead around in a circle back to my listing where I still cannot upload extra photos.

A real person could check the listing and remove the block.

I have sold alot over my 22 years on eBay and have even recently had communication from a real person at ebay Help on another issue but now it seems impossible to get through.

Do the rules say you can add photos even when there is a bid?  Generally all you can do in these circumstances is add to the description.

It does say that you can add photos to an auction with bids if more than 12 hours remaining.

The only thing I would say is that for some reason the extra pictures could cause the bidder to change their mind. Unless ebay advises of the change to the listing, the bidder could go on to win and get something he does not want.

This would be very unlikely to happen, but worth bearing in mind. Perhaps ebay have made a mistake.

As advised, it does say that you can add photos as long as your auction has more than 12 hours to go, even if there are bids.

However, in practice you can't add photos if your item has bids.  I have just tried it with a live listing and, as far as I remember, it has never been possible to do this.

I would guess it is just an error on the list of things you can change.  I doubt anybody in customer service will be able to override this but you can ask.
