I have recently sold an item on eBay and the buyer has the funds pending until collection.
I have tried to contact the buyer but had no response.
the buyer initially was in conversation about the items for sale but purchased the items via a secondary account with zero feedback and that had only been setup 3 days earlier.
My gut tells me to cancel the order but I’m concerned I will incur fees.
can someone please help.

Cancel the sale using at buyers request so you don't pay fees then add them to your blocked bidder list here as it sounds like a scam https://www.ebay.co.uk/bmgt/BuyerBlock?

Thank you for getting back to me.
Will I definitely not incur any charges as I contacted eBay chat assistant and it mentioned 20% fee and total sale is £800
Im so annoyed at this moment, I just wanted to sell the item with ease.

Once you choose that option, the buyer will be automatically refunded if they paid, and you won't pay fees

The only I option to cancel is ‘cancel order’ it doesn’t give me an option for ‘cancel at buyers request’
selling on eBay is new to me, so apologies for all the questions.
thanks again for your replies

Is this the item you sold yesterday, 14th March?
If it is and, as you say, the buyer has paid, then I would strongly advise that you give them some time to contact you. The sale was less than 24 hours ago.
Not everybody is online 24 hours a day and they may have been at work/asleep/out and have simply not seen your messages.

Yes, it is the item I sold yesterday.
I was in communication every 30 seconds until the sale and now he has just ghosted me and won’t respond to any messages.
my biggest concern is that he was in communication with an account feedback of 140 then purchased on a new account of 0

Maybe they simply checked out as a guest when not logged into their account.
As I suggested, wait a bit and see if they communicate with you.
As long as they have paid through Ebay checkout, the payment is safe.
When they do get back to you, remind them that they need to bring the collection code from Ebay without which you should not release the bought item as you won't get paid.

That’s great, I did actually message him regarding the collection code but I’ve had no response.
In the first lot of communication (with his main account) he agreed to collect the item today.
Il give him another 24 hours.
I just don’t want incur any charges for cancelling the sale, especially as I’m doing my best to get the item collected.
