Cancelling Evri Label

I sold an item with Evri postage.

Turns out the buyer lives locally and I can drop it off.

I have the label saved on my phone. When I go in to Actions on the Postage labels tab and select 'cancel label' for this item, it says 'This postage label can't be cancelled.'

Any advice on how to cancel the label and get the buyer a refund on postage?

As you are using simple delivery, you can't cancel postage label as you didn't pay for it.

I believe if not used,buyer gets refunded, 

But not sure as system is new.

You cannot cancel the label as you didn't pay for it.

If you deliver personally you will be waiting 14 days for payment as you wont have any proof of delivery,you can cancel the whole order and relist as collection which will refund the buyer and issue a collection code if they buy the item again

If I deliver the item. Will the buyer have to notify eBay they’ve received it?

If you relist for collection and the buyer buys again they will get the collection code which you need to prove they have it,the buyer cannot notify eBay of receipt and you will be waiting for your payment,you can enter the code when you deliver the item.
