Buyers who misuse returns policy .

My buyer claims the item is worn,not new and smells. In the email from the buyer she admitted it was in excellent condition.

I did not claim it was new, it has been returned washed and the waterproofing has been affected.

Is there anything I can do or is the buyer always "right"?

I suggest you do it early tomorrow morning after 8am when you will probably get the Dublin call centre,

Explain what has happened, specifically that they have washed it so the item is no longer in the same condition as it was received.

CS may give the buyer a courtesy refund where you keep the funds, or they may refund the postage. Or they may not do anything. Whatever it will be worth a shot.

I have been talking to customer services on line, and they seemed supportive initially but this evening they have said the buyer has requested a refund and I should send it. I don't know if the messages aren't connecting.
I will call the centre tomorrow, thanks again
