I have just sold an item for £350>
I have sent then item to the address that was on the system - apparently their old address via royal mail.
Sent pictures in the ebay chat to the user as i always do.
But now the item has been delivered , the buyer has said it`s his old address and not his delivery address.
He has said that he has walked to the old address but not in.
Please can some one advise as to what i should do in this situation.
i don`s feel i have done anything wrong as sent and delivered as i should tracked 24hours as requested by the buyer.
and definatlely don`t want to be out off pocket

As long as you sent to the address supplied by ebay and the tracking shows delivered you will be covered. It's up to buyers to keep their details up to date.
There are a number of update links for addresses on ebay so it's possible they missed the delivery one but not your fault.

You have to prove delivery to the address used at checkout.
I am unclear what you mean by the address on the buyer's profile.
You have to send to the address shown in 'order details' when you are logged into Ebay.
If you sent to that address, the buyer won't win a 'not received' case.
So, check the address, confirm that is where you sent it, and suggest to the buyer they try the old address again.
You could also let the buyer know that you will contact them if the item is returned to you.

If you look at the order, did you send it to the address that's showing there in the order details?
