Buyer won't collect

Hi

Strange one this. My buyer has paid for an item that is collection only. I contacted him to arrange collection and he replied saying he'd be in touch to arrange a time. I've messaged him twice now with the same response but no collection date/time.

It's quite a valuable item so I'd really like him to collect, but I'm starting to wonder whether he's ever going to collect. Ebay have transfered the funds to us.

Does anyone know if there's a time limit for a person to collect? If he doesn't collect within a reasonable time, can I cancel the sale, refund him and sell to someone else?

Thanks everyone.

Re: Buyer won't collect

There is no exact time limit set for a buyer to collect a paid for collection item,  but after 7 days if no contact can be made,  you can send them a polite message that,  if you do not hear from them in ** days you will deem the item to be unwanted, and will cancel the order,  which will fully refund the payment made.

If this should happen cancel the order citing ' Buyer Requests to Cancel' .  This fully refunds them,  and your seller performance is not affected.

You can then relist the item.

Personally I would block them from returning and possibly going through this rigmarole again.
