Buyer wishes to delay delivery

Hi, 

A buyer has jst paid for item I've sold to her, and has messaged to ask tat I delay posting it as they are away until 19 November. 

Ebay says I must post item by 14 November  - it's special delivery tracked .

What happens if I don't post it by 14 Nov, and do it on 18 November?

You would be risking a defect for late dispatch, and/or late delivery.

Unofficial  solution I have used is explain problem to buyer, and mark as dispatched but post when buyer wants it posted.
