I have a problem with a buyer not contacting me to collect my lawnmower. I`ve decided to cancel the sale as he/she isn`t responding despite being asked several times. When I choose to cancel the sale , the eBay message says I have to refund the purchase price of £130.00, but I have not received that money yet. I feel I`m disadvantaged currently, I`ve done nothing wrong & I`m stuck. Please advise.

What you can do is give the buyer a reasonable time to arrange collection and tell them that if they don't collect by that time you will assume they don't want it, cancel, and refund.

Is this the lawnmower you sold on 7th April?
Your buyer may not log into their account every day and their payment shows they are a genuine buyer.
Personally, I would stop messaging them and just wait a few days. It is the school holidays, they may be away from home.
If you cancel, Ebay will process the refund and then pay the buyer's money to you. There is sometimes a bit of time between those two things happening and you may be briefly out of pocket.

Hello, ok, thanks for your advice. I`m getting over anxious probably. The buyer is 200 miles away from me & its a lawnmower. I suspect the buyer has twigged that there is a further cost to receive their purchase. I will do as you suggest & wait a while.
Thanks.

Thank you, that advice seems to be the course I should follow in the short term.
